How is everyone doing?! We sure have had a crazy week here in my area
and I can't wait to tell you all about it. I don't have a lot of time,
but I will write as much as I can. So this past week one of the
sisters had to go home so we got put in a trio with Hermana Fenn!! I
was so excited!! She just came out of a hard transfer so our job was
to just have fun and work hard together... Which we did. Trios are
definitely hard, but they are fun at the same time. I learned so much
from both Hermana Lee and Hermana Fenn in this past week! That was
surprise #1! Hermana Fenn is back in her area now (Barc 2) and will be
training this transfer.
Surprise #2 was in zone conference when Hermana Dayton showed the
video of Liza talking to all the missionaries!!!! That melted my
heart! I love her so much! All the missionaries here were dying! Shout
out to Liza Lou... The missionaries think you are going to be the best
missionary ever one day! Zone conference was amazing! President and
Sister Dayton wrote another song for us about encontrar y enseñar
(find and teach) and they made us all write those two words on the
bottom of our shoes... So we can remember what we need to be doing as
we walk around the streets of Spain. I loved zone conference so much!!
It was such a huge motivation to me to be an even better missionary
and strive to trust in my Heavenly Father and Savior everyday!
Surprise #3... TRANSFERS!!!!!!!!!! Transfers happened and I am done
with training... Surprise ;) I am happy to finally be a "trained
missionary" and I'm ready to work hard and lead out an area. Sooooo I
am staying here in Barc 1!! Yay! I don't think I'll ever be able to
leave this area... It's too amazing. Hermana Lee is going to Zaragoza to finish training
Hermana Plant - she will be awesome but I will miss her! My new companion is Hermana LARSEN!!!!!!! Hermana
Larsen and I kind of knew each other before the mission! I picked her
up at the train station this afternoon and it has been non stop fun
since we got together! I love her so much!! She is from Colorado but
her family just moved to Arizona. She is 4th of 6 kids and went to
BYU-I before her mission for a year. She was a dancer before her
mission, loves Disneyland, got hired to be Belle at Disneyland but
chose a mission instead, LOVES her parents (they are her best
friends), loves to sing and write songs, and most importantly LOVES
being a missionary and is SO happy to be here!! Yes. I think we will
get along just fine ;) if you can't tell, I'm a little bit beyond
excited! :) transfers are always hard and a little strange but so so
good and so inspired from our Heavenly Father! I know that this is
where I need to be and who I need to be with and I couldn't be
happier!
Tonight I will be taking a "new-be" out for her first night and she
will stay at our piso :) I already made her a welcome sign and taco
soup...oh also another change.... Hermana wiseman
is going to San Sebastián to OPEN an area AND to TRAIN!!!!!! Wow!!!
She is going to do so great and see so many miracles! I am sad that my
little twin is leaving me but I'm so excited for her! Hermana Bastidas
is now here with Hermana Fernandez and I LOVE her! She is a STL(Sister Training Leader) and so
great :) it will be a fun transfer!
We found out during zone conference that Elder Scott passed away. That
was really hard for me to hear. But then I realized how wonderful it
is that he can be with his sweet wife again. And it is also incredible
to see how the Lord runs this church... Even though we have lost 3
apostles in the past few months, this coming weekend we will all be
able to hear and see 3 new men called of God to continue leading His
church. That is one thing that we teach here in the mission
everyday!!! The lord has not ceased to call prophets and apostles to
guide and direct us and he will continue to do so until the end of
time. What a wonderful blessing that we can all find joy and comfort
in - The prophets and apostles are called of God. I know that without a
shadow of a doubt. We are so so so blessed have them here on the earth
to lead us to know what our Heavenly Father needs us to do. General
conference is this weekend and I couldn't be more excited!!!!!
Although it will be hard not to be there with my wonderful family, I am excited
to watch it here in Spain with members and investigators and see it
change their lives! I challenge all of you to take time to watch all
of the sessions of general conference. Remember that these are the
Words of God and as we listen With open hearts and minds we will find
answers. I challenge you to come up with questions of your heart, pray
before conference starts and then listen and write down your thoughts
and feelings and I PROMISE you that you will receive answers from our
loving father In Heaven.
I love you all so much and hope you have a great week!!!!
Xoxo,
Hermana Eyring
