Don't Walk! Run!

My dear wonderfully incredible family and friends!

Well today is a very sad day as conference has once again come to an end. I wish it could last forever and ever and ever!! BUT the great news is that now for the next six months we get to work on everything that we have been prompted and counseled to do. I can´t wait! Wasn´t conference just amazing? It is funny that even here in Spain all the way across the world and away from my family I could still feel of the sweet conference spirit and it was just as powerful! We got to watch it in English with all of the missionaries here in Barc so that was fun! And it was fun to have a surprise visit from a cute couple from Utah who had both served here in Barc and then got married after their missions! They brought us candy from the states and then watched conference with us! It was so nice of them!

My wonderful new companion, Hermana Larsen, is just absolutely amazing! Sometimes I think we are the same person because we think so much alike. But I love it! She reminds me of all of my close friends and family... she is just incredible and exactly the companion I need to be with this transfer! Every time we have nightly planning or we are in a cita or we are just walking in the streets we just can´t stop talking because we have WAY too much fun together and we both LOVE talking about the gospel and sharing our testimonies with every person we pass. It is practically perfect... in every way! OH that´s another thing... we sing all the time together and it is so fun! We like to write songs about missionary work as we are walking to citas. I can´t remember if I told you this or not but she was supposed to be in Disneyland right now as a disney princess but declined the job offer to come on a mission! So our love for disney is just about the same.

Anyways, this week we saw so many miracles. It was a little difficult because we didn´t have as much time out on the streets as normal because of transfers and general conference, but we still had many milagros! Hence the title... don´t walk! Run! That came from a conference talk from last april that I read this week. We can´t walk and expect to get the Lord´s work done. there is too much to do! So literally this whole week Hermana Larsen and I have been running to everything. I love it because it means we are always busy! Even when we are out contacting, we will finish a contact and then run to the next person to start sharing this incredible message with them.

I want to share three miracle stories with you from this week. The first one is kind of funny, but still a miracle. Hermana Larsen and I were walking to the church when a guy came running up from behind us and was like, "hello sisters" (in english). We realized he didn´t know a lot of english so we continued the conversation in spanish. He said, "I have been looking for the missionaries for 6 months now. They just kind of disappeared. But I would really love a copy of the book your church has and I would also like to get baptized". haha this was Hermana Larsen´s first night here... welcome to Barc where sometimes the people just walk up to us and ask if they can be baptized! Javier was our miracle that night! Unfortunately he lives in the Elders area so we will be passing him over to them, but I am excited for his baptism.

The second milagro was Diana. We were contacting in between citas for a few minutes and had a prompting to talk to this mom with her little boy... so of course we did. We started talking to her and at first she didn´t really want anything and was about to turn away, but then Hermana Larsen and I started testifying back and forth of the Book of Mormon. As soon as we did that her eyes were locked on both of ours. It was one of the most powerful moments I have had yet on my mission. She and her son, David (10), were both very interested. By the end of the conversation she told us that she was so grateful we found her because her dad is now a member of this church in her country (Honduras) but she didn´t know how to find it. Tears came to her eyes as she thanked us for what we were doing. We set up an appointment with her, gave her a book of Mormon and lots of hugs goodbye. she was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met! I can´t wait to teach her this week and I hope she will get baptized soon... along with her son! Wow! Heavenly Father truly is guiding this work!

The last milagro I would like to share is about Jessica. Jessica is Alex´s sister. She is the one who I taught a few weeks ago and challenged her to be baptized and she decided on next June. haha. well we got it a little closer and her date is November 14th. She is excited to learn more but is scared to "become mormon". Yesterday after conference we had a wonderful lesson with her all about the Book of Mormon. Hermana Larsen and I once again bore powerful witness and testimony of this special Book and then challenged her to read it every single night. we had done this before with Jessica, but never before had the spirit been as strong as it was last night in the park. She looked both of us in the eyes and said, "yes. I will read it every night". The best part was that we had Alex there and he bore his testimony of the Book of Mormon and General Conference and said, "we can help each other Jessi. We can remind each other to read every night and even sometimes read together". It was incredible. The influence that members have on investigators is so powerful.

I want you all to know that I have a testimony of this church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the fullness of it has been restored to the earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and I love it with my whole heart. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today and He leads and guides this church and will continue to do so until the day He dies. what a perfect example for us to each look up to and follow. I know my savior lives and loves each and every one of us and through His Atonement we can be clean and become better every single day! En el nombre de Jesucristo, Amén.

Love,
