"What manner of man is this?"

Hello my incredible family and friends,

I am so grateful for all of you! Thank you for all the emails this
week! They helped me a ton! Pick me ups at the end of a long day are
always what I look forward to! Can any of you believe that I leave the
CCM in 4 days?? I sure can´t! This time went by so fast! I try
everyday to make it go slower but for some strange reason it just
doesn´t work and I can´t quite figure it out! At this rate I will be
coming home from my mission tomorrow and I about cry at the thought of
that (not that I don´t love you all... but I just love it here so much
and wouldn´t trade being a missionary for anything).

This week has been filled with so many fun, exciting, life changing,
spiritual, special, heart warming, hard, incredible moments that I
don´t even know where to begin!

Let´s start with a funny moment... One night we were all sitting on the top bunk
bed studying before bed. Then Hermana Devereaux decided she would jump down
without a ladder. Well both of her arms got caught on the bars of the bunk bed and her feet
couldn´t touch the ground. Soooo she ended up just dangling from the
top bunk with her arms stuck behind her!! It looked so painful but it
was quite a hilarious sight. I tried to help her but we were all
laughing too hard to even do that! I felt so bad, but it was
definitely a great memory!

I sang in church last sunday with Hermana Brown and Smalley.
We sang a missionary medley and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!
Savior Redeemer of my Soul and Called to Serve! Hermana
Smalley brought it from home! Everyone in the congregation was crying.
The spirit was so strong! I feel so blessed to have the gift of music
in my life and I am so grateful that I am able to share it with
others... it truly blesses lives! KIDS.... never stop practicing the
piano... you´ll regret it on your mission if you do!

Happy almost fourth of July! To celebrate here in the CCM we will go to the park
and teach people! I bought a cute fourth of july outfit and can´t wait
to wear it :) Have fun watching the fireworks for me!

I learned so much in this past week! First of all... at the temple! Last thursday
was incredible. I just felt like I was "home" as I was in the temple
with all of the missionaries. I wondered why I thought that and I
realized it was because it felt like my home in NSL. I am so grateful
for the Spirit in our house that has taught me so much about what my
life should always feel like. Please always try to keep that sweet
spirit of the temple in your homes and make sure the Savior and His
Gospel is always ALWAYS at the center!! In PMG pg 85 it says, "heaven
is a continuation of the ideal home".

The Atonement is very very real. I am so grateful for it in my life and everything
the Savior sacrificed for each one of us. In Mark 4:36-41 it talks about the
Savior calming the Storm and then asks "what manner of man is this?"
It is our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the one who calmed the storm, he
is the one who performed miracles, he is the one who sacrificed for us
all, He is the one through which we can have eternal life as we follow
His example. He didn´t have to do any of it, but He did it out of pure
LOVE for all of us! What do we need to do... who do we need to be in
order to give back the slightest portion of what He has done for us. I
want you all to go look up 3 Nephi 27:27 and then 3 Nephi 12:48 and
then Moroni 10:32. And then strive to be that kind of person for your
Savior Jesus Christ who has given you and each of us so much. I am so
grateful for the manner of man that Jesus Christ was. I am so grateful
for His example to me of loving me and all of you so much that He was
willing to sacrifice more than was necessary so that we could be free
from sin and death and so that He could understand how we feel and
succor us in our times of afflictions.

I bear my testimony that He lives and that He truly did these things out of love
for us and that He is always with us. Through Him it is possible to eventually
become like Him and be perfect even as He is. I know this church is true and
I love it with my whole entire heart. I am so lucky and blessed to be
a missionary and represent my Savior, Jesus Christ.
I say these things in His Name, Jesus Christ, Amen.

I love you all and hope you have a phenomenal week!
xoxo, Hermana Allie Eyring :)

Oh PS...I have more challenges for you!
1. make your home like a temple!
2. Memorize the living christ or re-memorize it! Those words will change your life
and help you so much on your missions and just in life! They will most
definitely strengthen your testimony of the Savior!

Ok. Love you all!
Adios!
