She made it!

We received Allie's first letter letting us know she had arrived in Spain. It sounds like she is so very happy and loving the Madrid MTC! Following her letter are a few travel photos with the missionaries she travelled with to Spain.

HOLA FAMILIA!!!!!!! I am here in Madrid at the MTC! I have so much to
tell you but don´t have a lot of time. The flights were all wonderful
and I was with Elder Merrill the whole time. We gave a book of mormon
to one lady and referral cards to another lady and I also gave her my
testimony on a note card. Such neat experiences already! I flew with
hermana Brown, Hermana Smalley, and Hermana Rollins. Then there were
the Elders too. Thank you for all of your prayers- they have most definitely been felt! 

I have a funny story really fast... the lady that Elder Merrill and I gave a book of Mormon to was
a flight attendant about 50 years old. She came up to us and asked why
we were all dressed up and Elder Merrill and I explained that we are
missionaries headed to Spain. I asked Elder Merrill a question calling
Him ¨"Elder Merrill" and she said, "You are an Elder?! How old are
you??" He said 18 and she said, "18?! Well then what does that make
me? I must be a grand Elder" hahahaha :) We then gave her a book of
mormon on our way off the plane. Elder Merrill and I read lots of
talks about missionary work on the plane rides. It was so fun and hard
not to watch the movies but we had fun anyways. 

We just barely got here to the CCM and GUESS WHAT?! Hermana Brown, 
Hermana Smalley, Hermana Rollins, AND HERMANA DEVERAUX 
(one of my friends from BYU who just flew in earlier today) are all ROOMMATES!!!!!! 
Which means I will be companions with one of them... I will find out later who it is. My
next PDAY is next Thursday because we don´t get another one this week
:( Get ready for lots of updates and pictures next week.

I love you all and can´t wait to hear from you all again! Also I got
all of your letters and emails! THANK YOU!!!!!! I loved them all! They
made me feel right at home. Also I am learning Spanish so quickly it
is crazy!! I love it!! Hermana Smalley is fluent so she will help us
all practice at night :) We are going to unpack today, have dinner and
watch devotional by Elder Cook! I can´t wait. Hopefully it´s in
English... yikes! I´ll let you know how this goes! I hope everyone is
well there! Dad, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! There will be a birthday letter
coming soon for you!

I know that this church is true and that when we speak by the spirit, even when
the people speak a different language, we will be blessed and the
people we teach will feel the spirit. I experienced that on my trip
over here and I am sure I will continue to experience it everyday! The
challenge to all of you this week is to read the talk "The Fourth
Missionary". It is INCREDIBLE!!!!! It is not only a way to be a
missionary but the best way to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. It will
change all of your lives. I hope we can all strive to be the "fourth
missionary" and turn our will to our Heavenly Father and Savior´s and
make sure our hearts are turned to them. I am so grateful for this
church and the Gospel.
